Συγγραφέας περισσότερων των 100 εργασιών σε διεθνή και ελληνικά επιστημονικά περιοδικά και πρακτικά συνεδρίων στις περιοχές της Διαχείρισης των Υδατικών Πόρων, της Πολιτικής Περιβάλλοντος και της Βιώσιμης Ανάπτυξης. Επιστημονικός υπεύθυνος σε περισσότερα από 20 εφαρμοσμένα ερευνητικά έργα με Ευρωπαϊκή ή Ελληνική χρηματοδότηση.Γενικός Γραμματέας του Water Resources Management section της διεθνούς επιστημονικής οργάνωσης IAHR, (International Association for Hydraulic Research), από το 2003 έως 2008.Ειδικός εμπειρογνώμονας – αξιολογητής ερευνητικών έργων της ΧΙΙ Γενικής Διεύθυνσης της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής σε θέματα Περιβάλλοντος και Βιώσιμης Ανάπτυξης.
